Personality; More childlike than she lets on, overly trusting, impulsive, stubborn as a cow, but overall a good friend. Momo generally gets along with everyone she meets, being a gentle, soft spoken girl, though she's not above light teasing. She has a tendency to fret over her friends a lot, usually needlessly. She is terribly humble--though she tries her hardest and is actually very talented at what she does (a given, considering her position), she is often worries about not being good enough. She's a bit of a klutz from time to time. She also always gets caught up in the little details, overanalyzing things, and has a tendency to miss the big picture as a result. Perpetually truthseeking, but has a poor ability to accept it sometimes. Also has a hard time letting go of attachments.

History (SPOILERS ABOUND); Momo started out and grew up in in West Rugonkai where she was close friends with Toushirou Hitsugaya and played the big-sister in the relationship. She was later accepted in the shinigami Academy in the advanced class. She became close friends with teammates Renji Abarai and Izuru Kira during a practice mission. The mission's end was compromised by Hollows and they were rescued by Sousuke Aizen and Gin Ichimaru. Aizen quickly became something of a hero for her and this became the premise for her later becoming Vice Captain under him.

He carefully cultivated her trust, and eventually, her dependence. Aizen faked his death years later, causing her to attack two of her closest friends, Kira and Hitsugaya, imprisoned (but escaped) on both accounts. Concurrently, she was absolutely derailed emotionally. Later, it was revealed that Aizen was alive and Momo was absolutely overjoyed. He then promptly stabbed her, claiming she couldn't live without him either way.

Regardless of his attempt on her life, Momo still retains a high degree of faith in Aizen. As a result, she swore to herself that she would save him from whatever force (conceivably Ichimaru) she perceived to be manipulating him.
